Most of what the rest of Eldriloch knows about Thaela was seen from the deck of an airship. Below the canopy are dense jungles and tribes that don't welcome visitors.

Thaela is covered in dense jungle and home to aggressive tribes. Only two cities are known, both spotted from airships flying overhead. Most Thaelans are nomads, and there is no government beyond the tribes themselves.

A Thaelan character is a rare sight in the cities of the north, and is probably a barbarian or ranger with good reasons for leaving home.
